The client reported their iPad after taking off the charge it would randomly turn off after 5-10 seconds. No physical damage on the iPad we can see either.

Battery levels did move 1% at a time also when charged. Most likely the battery was at fault in this unit from factory.

We inspected the iPads’ internals and couldn’t see any fault with logic board and advised to replace the battery. Once replaced the issue went away. Repairing iPad 2 isn’t easy and huge risk in cracking the LCD and the Glass digitiser. But, we were able to replace with new battery without cracking any components.

Client was most happy to get their iPad back.
